CS:GO needs new skins – Valve offer $1 million in CS:GO art contest
Valve has offered up $1 million for artists to try their hand at the new dream-themed Dreams & Nightmares cases.
Valve is looking for art that fits their Dreams & Nightmares theme and is willing to pay artists a lot of money for it. Basically everyone can submit their designs and Valve themselves will be picking out 10 winners with their skins making it into the game. This means each winner will receive $100,000 as well and perhaps even more, as you’re allowed to send in multiple designs and can win multiple times (for different weapons).
Today we are announcing the CS:GO Dreams & Nightmares Workshop contest; a $1M CS:GO art contest looking for 10 original dream or nightmare-themed weapon finishes to be shipped in an upcoming case. More information here: https://t.co/mdmInLmUJk pic.twitter.com/y8KgyV46Q1

People who want to participate and submit their designs still have quite a bit of time, as you can still submit designs until October 21. Those who decide to enter retain their rights to the design and you’ll need to have a Steam account that’s in a good standing to be able to enter (which has also made at least $5 worth of Steam purchases). You can find all information on the tournament on their website.
With the contest, Valve wants to reward players and artists who have tirelessly added to the Workshop on Steam, bringing fresh designs to the game. “many of the most iconic in-game items, maps, and more have been authored by members of the community. The Dreams & Nightmares Content Contest is designed to help further support this community.”
