The most popular games on Twitch in May 2021

The month of May is over. Perfect time to look at the Twitch charts of the month. Which games reigned supreme? Only the numbers can tell. In order to compile this list we used sullygnome.com‘s watch time metric to properly rank the games on Twitch.

Dota 2 stays at tenth place for another month, while still far from top 3, Dota 2 still takes a spot on the list.
Resident Evil Village surprised everyone with its story and gameplay. As the only singleplayer game on the list, the game takes up the ninth spot.
With an ever-increasing roster and continuous updates, Apex Legends managed to secure eighth place.
The ever-popular Minecraft is on the seventh spot in our list. It does not matter if it is speedruns or SMPs, fans love watching the game.
CS:GO, the esport-veteran takes up the sixth spot in our list. While many do not like the new map Ancient, the popularity still seems the same.
Skins! Skins! Skins! With many new Skins Fortnite secures the middle spot in our List.
CoD: Warzone Season 3 is a hot topic among fans. While players still try to figure out if they like the changes or not, the game barely misses the top 3 and takes up our fourth spot.
With the first ever International tournament in May, Valorant managed to start of the top 3. Fans flocked their screens when Fnatic and Sentinals faced off in the finals.
League of Legends is still popular. With the Mid-Season Tournament MSI, LoL secures itself the second place.
GTA V has its second coming. With GTA online or GTA Roleplay, fans of the game like to watch their streamers play this game. Especially the RP aspect seems appealing to fans. That is why GTA V secures the first place in this list.
