Sylveon gets hit with big nerf in new Pokémon UNITE patch

The newest patch 1.2.1.6 has now gone live and sees Sylveon face quite a few nerfs to its kit. The developer behind the Pokémon UNITE game had already announced that the Pokémon was a little overtuned and that the developers themselves weren’t happy with the state that it was in, prompting a quick update.

Looking at the actual changes that went through, the nerfs seem to be mostly focused on the damage Sylveon is able to put out. Moves like Mystical Fire and Hyper Voice were able to output more damage if more stages of the attack hit, which could get out of hand rather quickly and would mean Sylveon could shred through enemies. Both attacks lose almost over 500 damage each and see subsequent damage reduced as well.

In any case, while the damage numbers for Sylveon are now a bit lower, the Pokémon should still thrive in competitive play. It has a great kit which allows it to keep itself healthy, allowing it to roam the map to throw opponents off and join teamfights late to clean up.
