Lost Ark was the most popular game on Twitch in February

Lost Ark topped League of Legends and GTA V in viewership on Twitch in February, adding to the hype the game created.

Despite only being released in the second week of February, Lost Ark quickly took over the Twitch directories, becoming the second-best launch on Twitch. Only VALORANT did better in 2020. The game’s popularity even helped big-time streamers like Asmongold soar to new heights.

Comparisons to New World’s stellar rise were quickly drawn, with concerns that Lost Ark’s numbers would drop down, fast.

Those concerns turned out to be unwarranted, as the Smilegate RPG continued its domination on the Twitch charts.

Sullygnome, a livestream statistics website, calculated that Twitch viewers consumed 146 million hours of Lost Ark in February. That’s 10 million more hours than League of Legends, and 15 million more hours than GTA V. What makes these numbers even more impressive is that the RPG wasn’t fully released until February 11. Another big difference between Lost Ark and New World.

Smilegate should only find positives in these numbers, as even the biggest streamers have said on stream to be hooked on the RPG. Shroud, who first called the game boring, later said  With Elden Ring now trying to be the next big thing, it will be interesting to see if Lost Ark can keep its top spot on Twitch.
