Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – First leaks and teasers for Season 5

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Season 4 is still going full steam ahead, but fans are already looking forward to Season 5. What can we expect from the new season?

The only “official” details we got for the upcoming season is a short video teaser that was shown by popular streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff:

Taking the many leaks and rumours into consideration there are still quite a few information out on Season 5 already.

When will Season 5 release?

Seaon 4 will most likely end on August 4. Setting the earliest possible start date for Season 5 to August 5. A date that has also been in the short teaser NICKMERCS shared and seems very likely.

What new content will arrive with Season 5?

So far Activision has not announced anything. But considering past seasons we can speculate on the upcoming changes.
Coinciding with the release of the Battle Pass that kicks off Season 5 we will most likely get a new operator. Acording to rumours a return of “Soap” is planned for Season 5.

New weapon for Season 5?

One of the highlights every season are the new weapons added to the game. With the internet abuzz with rumours we took a look at the most likely ones.

Youtuber PrestigeIsKey managed to find data pointing towards a r700 sniper rifle. Furthermore he expects a M200 Intervention, which would be another scoped sniper that many players will remember from Modern Warfare 2. Another potential weapon is the APC 9. Due to a bug the weapon was playable for a reddit user but it has not been formally implemented yet. According to leaker ModernWarzone there are also hints scattered about of a new shotgun, thte Spas-12.

Will the Warzone map change?

There is heavy speculation involving the stadium in Warzone. Currently it takes up a lot of space but cannot be entered. According to a leak in June, the stadium will be opened soon, additionally a train might make his debut to the Warzone map.
