Wild Rift enters closed beta (but no Europe or North America yet)

Some new information on Wild Rift, the League of Legends mobile game, has surfaced. Riot Games announced that the mobile game will enter its closed beta in a few regions starting today as the game itself moves closer to its full release.

It’s been quite a while since Riot Games released any new information about Wild Rift, but as it now enters its closed beta players around the world will be able to try the game out for itself. Riot made the announcement on Twitter and YouTube, where they talked a little more about the game and its regional closed beta in a ‘dev diary’.

Riot Games will be rolling out the closed beta of Wild Rift in a few countries in Asia first, namely the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. This means people in Europe or North America are out of luck for now. However, Riot did say they’re planning to include more regions into the closed beta as time goes on but there’s been no information on an actual date yet.

The closed beta of Wild Rift will primarily take place on Android but players who’d prefer to play on iOS can sign up on the Wild Rift website, where they’ll be running a small test exclusively for iOS. Players who get to participate are randomly selected from those who registered for Wild Rift on Google Play. The closed beta itself is expected to take place over the course of a few weeks.
