Warzone streamer Tommey (briefly) banned from Twitch

One of the biggest Warzone content creators and streamers in the form of 100 Thieves Thomas “Tommey” Trewren received a Twitch ban.

On February 23, it became clear that Tommey’s Twitch account was banned from the platform, leading to a lot of speculation as to what the reason behind the ban could’ve been. Tommey himself took to Twitter as well to talk about the situation. “I received a very vague reason without any clip or context. This not only ruins the progress and growth we were making but also stops me from competing in any form of Warzone tournament and also playing with anyone who’s streaming on Twitch.“

Things turned around for Tommey however, as he received a message from Twitch a few hours later stating his account was mistakenly banned. “Your account was suspended or blocked due to a mistake on our part. I’ve gone ahead and reversed this suspension on your account, so you are free to use our services once again. Apologies for any inconvenience or confusion this might have caused.”

Twitch has been under fire for quite a while regarding their ban system and the vague information they often provide (or don’t provide) in regards to the bans they’ve dealt out. One of the most notable examples to this day remains the case of Dr. Disrespect, who received a permanent ban from the platform and has since moved to YouTube.
