Uproar over inappropriate bot names in Pokémon UNITE

Pokémon UNITE makes use of real-life trainer names when naming their bots, even though they often play like garbage and even the worst player around can see that a bot is playing. Now some players have been complaining of some of these bots receiving some unfortunate names, somes even being madly inappropriate for a game that’s played by young children too.

In a Reddit post a small video was shared where one of the bots was called “Nutindabutt”. People in the replies have been sharing some of their own unfortunate incidents when running into these kinds of bots, with some talking about a bot that’s called “Milfhunter69”. The situation has led many people questioning why they’re using these kinds of naming schemes in the first place, as roughly the same situation has popped up in Mario Kart Tour as well, before the issue was resolved.

The inappropriate names for the bots in Pokémon UNITE aren’t even the biggest issue the bots in this game are dealing with, funnily enough. Many players have complained about the quality of the bots, who fail to do even the most basic things in the game and have been turning people away from playing. Here’s to hoping the issue gets resolved soon.
