What reasons are there to buy Riot Points
Well for one, unlocking multiple champions right off the bat might seem appealing to a lot of players. New players are often left with only a handful of options aside from the free-to-play ones and while many will suggest to first learn the basics with what is available to them, buying a champion you especially like might help you enjoy the game more and learn faster.
Aside from that there’s also the skins and multiple cosmetics you can buy. Players can also buy keys, chests and key fragments which might contain skin or champion shards. In this case people might opt to buy some of the skins for a champion they especially enjoy, while also supporting the company behind the game.

Finally, before buying Riot Points, you should consider how much you’re going to be investing in the game not in terms of money, but in terms of time. How much enjoyment do you get out of League of Legends? If it’s the main game you play and you enjoy the time spent playing it, you shouldn’t worry too much about it. If you’re just testing the waters it might be best to start out with what’s available to you. League of Legends isn’t a pay-to-win game, so you won’t really be missing out. You can still buy champions with Blue Essence anyway.
Some tips for when you decide to buy some:
- Look for the champion packs in the store. They often give you a nice deal featuring multiple champions at once.
- Skins are also often on sale (much like champions by the way). So you can keep your eyes open and save some money that way.
