After we’ve received new champions from Riot Games in the form of Samira and Seraphine respectively, a new champion named Rell is on her way to the rift. We’ve also already received a glimpse at the overall look of the champion as well as her abilities.
Riot Games released a tweet featuring Rell, the Iron Maiden, on their Twitter page. Rell is a heavily armored champion that rides on her iron steed, indicating she’ll be played as a tanky champion in a more supportive role. With her passive she steals the target’s armor and magic resist, dealing bonus damage based on the amount she stole.
With her Q (Shattering Strike) she stabs forward with her lance, able to hit multiple champions. If she’s bound to an ally with her E ability (Attract and Repel) which gives the bound ally extra armor and magic resistance when close by, they also get healed.
Her W (Ferromancy: Crash Down & Mount Up) indicate her two forms. While mounted, Rell jumps and gains a big shield, knocking up enemies when she comes down. In armored form, Rell rushes forward and transforms her armor into a mount, gaining a burst of movement speed. During her next attack, she charges her target to deal bonus damage and flip them over her shoulder. Her R (Magnet Storm) pulls enemies in a circle around her closer for a few seconds.

Alongside the reveal of Rell, Riot Games also announced their Battle Queen skins which will be available for Rell, Janna, Katarina and Qiyana.
