Pokémon Unite has continually new playable characters and holowear ever since the game’s release, and Alolan Ninetails marks the latest addition. Sacred Style: Alolan Ninetails is now available for purchase in the Zirco Trading Store, along with several new player items.
Alolan Ninetails comes at a fairly hefty price however, as the holowear costs 2,499 Aeos Gems. This is by far the most expensive skin in all of Pokémon Unite. Ninetails leaves its competitor in the dust, as second highest paying skin only costs 1,200 Aeos.
Although players have praised the Pokémon Company for its steady supply of new content, players are divided over the rising price tags. The average cost of holowear for other characters fall between the 300-400 Aeos range, however Ninetail’s recent addition equates to nearly $40. This sharp uptick in prices is systemic of a growing complaint in the community.
Gradually, other items such as enhancers have dropped in price, however the adverse reaction now seems that cosmetics will see a subsequent increase. Players online have voiced their concerns and displeasure over the state of Unite’s store. Either way, the Ninetails skin is currently available for purchase should you have the funds to spare.
This holowear dons a purple skin for the Ninetails along with some other unique design aspects. The holowear was first rumored and soft confirmed after a data mining breach preceding Pokémon Unite’s 1.2 updates. Alolan’s holowear was not the only skin or information breached in the data leak, and likely we will see other leaked items come to light in the near future.
