Patch 11.13 bringing Lee Sin and Rumble nerfs, buffing Aphelios and Xayah

Patch 11.13 is projected to be one of the biggest meta shake-ups in recent memory.

Continuing our ongoing preview of patch 11.13, more details have been released regarding potential changes. Introducing a Tahm Kench ‘mini-rework’, changes to Lucien, and new items, this patch stands to alter the fabric of the current meta.

Will Lee Sin go back to the jungle?

Lee Sin and Rumble are two unlikely champions that have made their way into the meta. These two however have largely been played outside of their ‘intended’ or popular placements. In professional play, Lee Sin has overwhelming moved to a solo lane pick whilst Rumble has had a steady presence in the jungle.

Whether or not these champion’s displacement is what earned them a spot on the nerf list in unclear, however both are set for major changes. Lee Sin’s incredibly fast wave clear and inherent life steal have made him an ideal solo laner. Rumble on the other hand has shown equally fast jungle clear speeds and bonus damage from his equalizer ultimate. Though the nerfs are unspecified, players can likely assume these are the areas Riot will look to modify.

Xayah and Aphelios return

ADC carries can breath a sigh of relief this patch, as their botlaner role stands to benefit the most. Thus far in the season, few ADCs have remained as viable picks. This will soon be changing as buffs are planned to visit both Xayah and Aphelios.

Both champions will see base damage buffs that will synergize well their popular builds of Galeforce and Kraken Slayer. This, along with Tahm Kench changes to break the ‘fasting Senna’ strategy, will add a much needed spice to the botlane.
