A lot of players have not even leveled or unlocked the CX-9 for Warzone yet, because it was bugged. Raven Softwares official Twitter mentioned a fix alongside other unlisted patch notes.
Additionally the new SMG received some buffs, although it was just released into the game. Here is how to unlock the new weapon fast, in case you have not gotten it yet.

The developers tweeted on August 5th about some changes for the Krig 6 and the CX-9:
🛠️ We have pushed an update to #Warzone with a couple Weapon tweaks 🙂
Krig 6 (BOCW)
Lower Torso Multiplier decreased from 1.1 to 1
Maximum Damage Range decreased from 1500 to 1400CX-9 (MW)
Increased mid damage range from 20 to 21

The CX-9 received direct buffs to its damage output, even tough it was not necessary. The new weapon already rivaled the MAC-10, which we included in our SMG Meta guide.
With additional headshot damage and higher damage output in mid-range gunfights it is an even better choice now. Regardless if you want to play it as a sniper support or a close range option, you should include this new SMG into your loadout.
