LoL Patch 11.13 – New items, champion reworks, and ADC buffs

Ahead of Patch 11.13’s live release to public servers, here are some of the biggest changes coming to the game.

Patch 11.13 will be dropping this Wednesday, June 23rd. The coming update has been long in the making and stands to be one of the most impactful patches in recent memory. In the words of Lead Game Designer, Jeevun Sidhu, patch 11.13 stands to be “the biggest meta shake-up we’re going to have this year.” Given not only the scope of changes, but also the breadth, it seems that this certainly seems to be the case.

New items – Hullbreaker and Anathema’s Chains

Perhaps the most important aspects of patch 11.13 is the introduction of new items and changes made to existing mythics. Anathema’s Chains is a tank item designed to work as an anti-split push, anti-carry measure. Giving 650 Health, the item’s unique active is what makes an interesting addition to the shop.

Hullbreaker is diametrically opposed to the Anathema’s Chains, enabling solo laners and split pushing. While giving an increase to armor and structural damage, minions also get a mini-baron buff.

Champion buffs and Tahm Kench’s rework

ADCs should rejoice this patch, as buffs to items, as well as the base damage and Aphelios, stands to break up the monotony of the role. The current jungle meta, brimming with unique picks, could be stifled as Olaf has seen a slight buff to both health growth and mana recharge.

Though more of a lateral move than a buff professional, Tahm Kench is seeing a mini-rework with the intention of making him more accessible in solo queue. You can read our full rundown of the Tahm Kench changes here.

Rumble and Lee Sin nerfs

Rumble has dominated the jungle meta ever since MSI has remained a steady presence since, and for good reason. Riot may be putting their foot down, as Rumble’s movement speed and W cooldown will both be seeing nerfs. Similarly, Lee Sin’s time in the toplane may be coming to an end as his E will be seeing a massive base damage nerf. Though still with impeccable wave clear, better trading options may become viable soon.
