How to properly peek an angle in CS:GO

There are certain techniques that will help you get the most out of your peeking, while leaving your opponents baffled. CS:GO is a game of perspective, it seems very weird but it is often best to keep some distance from the wall you’re peeking around. With the obstruction further away from you, you actually reveal less of your own character when going around the angle you want to peek.

When you are close to an angle, most of your character’s body has to move around the wall or obstruction before you can actually see what you want to see, which then of course gives your opponent an advantage again.

Knowing where they are

Life is easier when you already know certain things, like where the opponents are. This we can’t know in CS, but we can guess. If you mentally take note of where the players often play you can try to pre-aim and maybe pre-fire that position.

This will make you have to flick less, which in turn makes the chance of error lower. Work smarter not harder they say! To make your pre-fires more successful, you’ll have to try and counter-strafe to perfection.
