Popular Twitch streamer Nickmercs has said he’s done with Call of Duty Warzone, which speaks volumes about the current state of the game.
Why he’s quitting
Nickmercs posted a video where talks about the current state of the game and how he’s done with it, at least for a few weeks, as the current Call of Duty title is reaching the end of its lifetime with a new game on the horizon. “Call of Duty is just in a really bad spot. Horrible across the board. There’s no light at the end of the tunnel. […] I have just lost the fire for Warzone, not for gaming, but just for Warzone. I’m burnt”
What he wants to change
Earlier Nickmercs already talked about three things he wanted to change about the game to make it more interesting and more fun again. One of these things was overhauling and changing the map or perhaps even putting in a brand new one. Nicmercs admitted to being burnt out on Verdansk. “I want an island theme with beaches, ocean, palm trees, and jungle. That’s what I want.”
Taking on the hacking problem in Warzone is also essential according to Nickmercs. He faces multiple hackers during every livestream and is tired of dealing with them. Finally he talked about adding an FOV slider for console players. When it comes to FOV, console players got the short end of the stick, with pc players just able to see more of the map and the environment, giving them an unfair advantage.
