Fortnite clash – Apple demands damages from Epic Games

Apple retaliates against Epic! They filed a case claiming damages from the publisher that refers to the fortnite case.

The clash enters the next round.

After Epic Games filed a lawsuit for “monopolistic practices” concerning Apple as a tech giant that banned Fortnite from their app store, Apple now strikes back.

The creators of Fortnite now received a claim for damages from the app store owner. Epic breached their contract by cutting out Apple’s share of the in-app transactions, according to the lawsuit filed by the californian company on Tuesday.

Epic Games allegedly made over $600 Million from Apple’s store so far. A hearing for this chapter of the litigations is set for the end of September.
