First Xbox Reveals at gamescom 2021 – No Halo Infinite so far

A day prior to the official opening event Microsoft already revealed a handful of information during their Xbox Live event.

While the new details are welcome they are appetizers for the expected larger reveals coming tonight. Most reveals were for already announced games such as Flight Simulator with its release on September 7.

But there were also some novelties like the reveal trailer for action RPG Stray Blade filled with detailled fights in real-time.

Prior to the event strategy fans already knew that Age of Empires 4’s gameplay would also offer documentaries expanding on the historical background of the setting. During the event Microsoft showed off a part, which explained the trebuchet siege weapon in detail.

Forza Horizon 5 has also offered a fresh gameplay glimpse. Players can speed along the roads of Mexico come November 5.

The event also saw the announcement of a console port for Crusader Kings 3 to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. Zombie action game Dying Light 2 also showed off its newest trailer.

Halo Infinite rumours

Halo Infinite has been suspiciously absent from the event although it is still scheduled for end of 2021. According to a leak fans might have to wait until the holiday season as the release date is rumoured to be December 8.

As there is no official announcement regarding a concrete date yet, players should take these rumours with a healthy dose of doubt. More reveals are likely to come from Microsoft during gamescom.
