Fear takes up coaching duties for Thunder Predator at The International 10

Thanks to Evil Geniuses eliminating Nigma at the WePlay Esports AniMajor, Thunder Predator are headed to The International 10, with Fear at the coaching helm.

South American competitors Thunder Predator, formed just before DPC 2021 started, are doing everything in their power to become a powerhouse by the time The International rolls around.

The decision to sign Fear as the team’s coach was made earlier this week, but TP waited with the announcement until they were certain they’d qualified for the direct TI10 invite.

Thanks to this invite TP avoid needing to compete in regional qualifiers. They have collected enough Dota Pro Circuit points throughout the season.

Those points came through both regional league seasons and their fifth-place finish at the ONE Esports Singapore Major, so despite not making the AniMajor, TP is headed to Sweden.

Fear, a TI5 champion himself with Evil Geniuses, competed the 2021 DPC Season with Sadboys. He stepped away from the team on May 21 despite still having a shot at making The International through the NA regional qualifiers.

Loomis will be reuniting with his former business associates and J.Storm teammate Joel “MoOz” Ozambela, who joined TP earlier this year.

With Thunder Predator in, there are now twelve teams who have their tickets to Sweden locked in. TP will be joined by Evil Geniuses, PSG.LGD, Virtus.pro, Quincy Crew, Invictus Gaming, T1, Vici Gaming, Team Secret, Team Aster, Alliance, and beastcoast.

The International is scheduled to begin on August 5, giving Fear a solid two months to prepare the team.
