Evil Geniuses Dota 2 squad partner with HealthyGamer and Dr.K

Earlier today, Evil Geniuses and Healthy Gamer announced their partnership heading into Dota 2’s biggest event of the year, The International. It was announced that Healthy Gamer’s co-founder and President, Dr. Alok Kanojia, will be an official part of Evil Geniuses’ Dota 2 roster, acting as the Mindset and Performance Coach.

Healthy Gamer is a large mental health institution in the gaming and esports space meant to raise awareness for mental health and provide support for those in need. The company is speared headed by Dr. Kanojia, known on Twitch and YouTube as Dr. K. Dr. K is a well-known, avid Dota 2 player and will be able to make debut at the competitive level through coaching.

Dr. K worked as a professional therapist for many years and has counseled huge names in esports and streaming such as Pokimane, LilyPichu, Destiny, and countless others. Dr. K has already worked with some of the largest organizations in esports, having appear on Team Liquid’s docu-series for League of Legends. This will be Dr. K’s first time in the coaching position.

Evil Geniuses hosts one of the most historic rosters in Dota 2 history. The North American organization is home to some of the biggest names in Dota, such as Artour “Arteezy” Babaev and Daryl “iceiceice” Koh Pei Xiang. The team has had an impressive 2021 thus far, ending 2nd place in the ONE Esports Singapore Major, Dota Pro Circuit, and most recently the WePlay Animajor.

EG are looking to win the organization’s second TI title at the International 10.
