ESL goes big on mobile gaming, launches mobile esports ecosystem

Esports organizers ESL Gaming have decided to step up their mobile game esports presence, as they launch a full mobile esports ecosystem spanning multiple games.

Their mobile gaming esports ecosystem will span from North America, to Europe, to Asia-Pacific and will see the organizers partner with some top developers. Some of these include partnerships with Supercell, Tencent and Riot Games, which means ESL will be able to provide tournament and esports events over games such as Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, PUBG Mobile, League of Legends: Wild Rift and more.

In a lengthy statement posted to their website, co-managing Director of ESL North America and General Manager of Mobile at ESL Gaming Kevin Rosenblatt talked about the new mobile gaming adventure. “We’re incredibly excited to continue our trailblazing and innovative approach in the mobile esports space. Mobile gaming has reached unprecedented popularity worldwide and ESL is thrilled to bring players and fans this competitive and highly engaging program.”

Mobile gaming has without a doubt become one of the most lucrative fields for developers and multiple titles already have established esports scenes with millions of players involved. With ESL now furthering their investment in the mobile esports landscape, it’ll be interesting to see how high mobile gaming as an esports can reach.
