Duping Exploit in Lost Ark – Players abuse multiple Founder’s Packs

The western release of Lost Ark has been making headlines and breaking records all around ever since early access started on Tuesday. However the Founder’s Packs that gave fans the headstart seems to be responsible for a major duping exploit.

Players find duping exploit

Reports of said bug appeared on Reddit and the official Lost Ark Forum, when players found out that they have gotten unexpected duplicates of their Founder’s pack contents. These did not only give early access but also (according to which tier you bought) gave you mounts, skins and other useful items like additional character expansion slots.

Usually players just redeem them on their accounts for the bonuses, but the duplicates led to listings on the auction house, creating a lot of wealth for the exploiting players. As the game economy is tied together due to cross-server auction houses the bug could lead to significant issues.

Twitch drops also affected

The same bug has reportedly also been seen on the Twitch drops that are distributed across streams. According to the developers the bug has already been fixed, so fans can breath easy now. One only has to look at the recent example of New World to see what happens when rampant bugs and exploit go unfixed for too long.

Players, who have been found abusing the bug will not be sanctioned by the developers.
