After an in-depth investigation by the Esports Integrity Commission (the ESIC) into the spectator bug in CS:GO it seems like cheating worries run deeper than expected. The ESIC took action against 37 CS:GO coaches who were involved.
The spectator bug came to the attention of the CS:GO community towards the end of august and already resulted in some coaches being banned and others coming forward to admit they’ve abused the bug. Now the ESIC released some of their findings following an investigation (which started on September 4) into the abuse of the bug, finding more coaches which were involved in possible cheating.

As a result of the investigation the coaches received bans of a varying length, which denies them participation in official tournaments. Among the coaches that were involved are some prominent names within the CS:GO community such as Robert “RobbaN” Dahlström (formerly FaZe Clan), Faruk “pita” Pita of Ninjas in Pyjamas and FURIA coach Nicholas “guerri” Nogueira. The latter ones already publicly talked about the bug.
According to the ESIC investigation abuse of the bug has been going on for quite a while, going back as far as 2016. When it comes to bans, ESIC tried to tailor them to the degree of the offense committed. “We have gone to great lengths to ensure the calculation of the sanctions imposed on the offending coaches comply with these standards.”
