CS:GO – Covid-19 is spreading in the pro scene

CS:GO pro player friberg recently got infected with COVID-19 and told his fans via Twitter. The 29-year old is currently playing for Dignitas, which is supposed to be a part of Flashpoint 2 starting November 10th.

Swedish Counter-Strike player Adam “friberg” Friberg told his fans about his COVID-19 infection on Tuesday. There he states that he received a positive test result and has been sick for a week with a high fever. He then requested his followers to stay safe and healthy.

Many people in the scene like Cristopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund, Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin, and Robin “Fifflaren” Johansson and public figures like Frankie Ward and Richard Lewis reached out to him.

Whether friberg could have infected his teammates is currently unknown. The team is set to participate in Flashpoint 2, which will start on November 10th. The organization has not yet mentioned if friberg will be able to play then.

Adam Friberg has been a CS:GO pro since 2009. With Swedish team Ninjas in Pyjamas, he managed to achieve big wins like first place at the ESL One: Cologne 2014 major. He joined Dignitas in January this year.
