Complexity signs multiple sports stars including JR Smith and Leonard Fournette

The esports organization Complexity as well as its parent company, Gamesquare, have announced its new initiative, Complexity Stars. This new division in Complexity is meant to partner with various celebrity athletes who are seeking to grow their brands through gaming and the esports industries.

Complexity have kicked off this new division by signing eight athletes, ranging from UFC fighters to Olympic gold medalists. The first members of Complexity Stars include:

  • J.R. Smith – Two time NBA Champion
  • Alisha Gray – WNBA player and Olympic Gold Medalist
  • Sean O’Malley – UFC Fighter
  • Megan Anderson – UFC Fighter
  • Max Holloway – UFC Fighter
  • Leondard Fournette – Tampa Bay Running Back
  • Ronnie Stanely – Baltimore Ravens Offensive Tackle
  • Edwin Rios – Los Angeles Dodgers Infielder

Now as a part of the growing esports organization, these athletes will work with players and creators within both Complexity and Gamesquare to engage themselves with fans through gaming. This will reportedly include both organizing and competing in tournaments, content creation, and brand sponsorships.

Gamesquare head of talent Duane Jackson described the project as “where sports, entertainment, and gaming come together,” going on to state There are amazing opportunities to collaborate with global talent through compelling content and tournaments that appeal to brands seeking to connect with the large, affluent, and growing gaming audience.”
