Bobby Kotick, the CEO of Activision Blizzard, has come out with a public statement talking about the lawsuit his company is currently facing.
In his statement Kotick first reaches out to all employees and people affected by the alleged harassment, while also saying Activision Blizzard’s first statement was out of place. “Our initial responses to the issues we face together, and to your concerns, were, quite frankly, tone deaf. It is imperative that we acknowledge all perspectives and experiences and respect the feelings of those who have been mistreated in any way. I am sorry that we did not provide the right empathy and understanding.“

Kotick goes on to say he’s devoted to changing the culture within the company and will be taking multiple actions, including more employee support, in-game changes, personnel changes and listening sessions. “We will do everything possible to make sure that together, we improve and build the kind of inclusive workplace that is essential to foster creativity and inspiration.”
Earlier today Blizzard already made in-game changes to World of Warcraft, which is in line with the statement made by Kotick. Activision Blizzard is currently facing a lawsuit for sexual harassment in the workplace and having a ‘frat’ culture that perpetuates sexism. Employees of Activision Blizzard have already sent out an open letter, which was signed by over 1000 employees, while also announcing a walkout taking place later today.
