Hazard Zone is one of the new Battlefield 2042 game modes to come. While EA has not revealed much about it yet, dataminers and leaks are busy uncovering details from the alpha.
On Twitter “temporyal” already put the suspicion forward, that the new mode could be a mix of Escape from Tarkov and Hunt: Showdown. According to him the game mode centers around a crashed satellite with both teams trying to extract the data from it.
In addition to the opposing team, you might have to also deal with NPC opponents and bosses spread throughout the map. Allegedly the mode will just re-use the existing multiplayer maps.
More details before release?
The only details we have gotten so far from official sources are that Hazard Zone will be a brand new mode that has not been done before in the Battlefield franchise. Teamwork within the squad is supposedly the focus of the mode. Of course this leaves plenty of room for speculation and rumours before release. It remains to be seen if we can get any further details before the release.
