The Brussels Challenge: Major Edition

The next chapter part of the ongoing Capcom Pro Tour will be the Brussels Challenge: Major Edition, allowing top Street Fighter players from Europe and other regions to clash in order to prove who’s the best. The recent Thaiger Uppercut and NorCal Regionals are now behind us. Hajime ‘Tokido’ Taniguchi dominated both of those tournaments, finishing first thanks to his trademark Akuma playstyle. He’s notorious for playing that character ever since the days of Ultra Street Fighter IV and the hero’s natural aggressiveness combined with Tokido’s made a good pair. With Street Fighter V also shifting the game in that direction, Taniguchi really felt at home in the last few years. We can expect to see him in Brussels along with other familiar faces.

So far in the list of expected participants we can see:

Masato ‘Bonchan’ Takahashi

Takeuchi ‘John Takeuchi’ Ryota

Benjamin ‘Problem X’ Simon

Goichi ‘Go1’ Kishida

Li-Wei ‘Oil King’ Lin

Olivier ‘Luffy’ Hay

This year, the tournament has grown and will take place again in Brussels, where it’ll provide even more space than previous years - 800 square metres. If you plan on attending, today 2 April is the last chance, so make sure you get a ticket and don’t forget to bring your own controller. You can find more details on the official site.
