North, among others, eliminated from ESL Pro League Finals

North are headlining the list of eliminated CS:GO teams in the first series of elimination matches at the ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals.

The Danes never looked the part in their match against Sharks and got utterly humiliated by the team that got ran over 16-2 by mibr yesterday. North have been extremely disappointing ever since their surprising win at DreamHack Masters Stockholm and they showed no signs of improvement in Odense.

Changing the in-game leader can obviously be tricky, but it has been two months now since Casper “cadiaN” Møller took over from Mathias “MSL” Lauridsen and results have been all but impressive. A 16-4; 16-7 defeat at the hands of a team on Sharks’ level is hardly going to ease the thoughts of the North camp going into the holidays and further roster moves might as well be on the card.

The rest of the elimination games presented no shockers. Ghost pulled from behind on Train to deny ORDER a shot at a third map. Renegades showed they can play a little bit by beating ViCi 2-0. And G2 needed to go through double overtime on Dust II to squeeze by INTZ after the two teams had split Overpass and Mirage.

If you’re a fan of elimination games, there’ll be a lot more treats for you today. Renegades and BIG are starting their battle for survival in mere minutes. G2 and HellRaisers will close today’s schedule with their match scheduled for 7 p.m. CET.
