Na`Vi qualify for the Megafon Winter Clash

Dota 2 pros Natus Vincere are the final team to complete the full list for the Megafon Winter Clash.

The Ukrainian organization took the first place in the closed qualifiers this Saturday, facing NoPangolier in the grand finals. Previously, they knocked them down to the loser’s bracket where NP made a recovery against Gambit Esports. The rematch was rather contested as it took five games to decide the winner. Naturally, the last match was also the longest one of the series. For a qualifier restricted to Europe and CIS, the participating teams were predominantly CIS-based as Ninjas in Pyjamas and The Final Tribe were the only two from the EU region. After losing to Na`Vi in the semifinals, NiP withdrew from the tournament as they preferred to take a break before the qualifiers for the next big event. The news came from the team’s captain Peter “PPD” Dager who posted an update on his Twitter.

In the meantime, Natus Vincere remained dominant in the winner’s bracket and earned their spot with a victory in the grand finals. Securing a ticket to Moscow, Crocus Expo, Megafon’s Winter Clash is set to start December 7 and last for two days until December 9. There, Na`Vi will face the other five directly invited teams – Virtus.pro, Team Liquid, Team Secret, PSG.LGD and Forward Gaming. The tournament won’t be a part of the official Dota Pro Circuit season and teams will only fight for a chunk of the total prize pool which stands at $300,000.
