Natus Vincere crush Sharks at ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals

Natus Vincere will be part of the ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals for at least a few more hours following a 2-0 victory over Brazilian minnows Sharks.

The CIS side’s ambitions for a title push in Odense were scarred yesterday by a shockingly lackluster performance versus mousesports that resulted in a mind-boggling 16-6; 16-4 loss for Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and co.

This blunder of a match meant Na`Vi will now have to make their way through the lower bracket of Group B if they are to even make the playoffs. The first test was Sharks – a team that left polarizing impressions in the first couple of tournament days. On the one hand, they got destroyed by mibr, on the other they dominated North in a best-of-three match to end the Danes’ participation this week.

Turns out North are just in an unbelievable slump as Na`Vi comfortably marched through this matchup. Nuke, which was a disaster vs. mouz, was the first part of this short-lived story. Despite a solid CT half to start, Sharks only added two more rounds to their tally in the second half and lost their own map choice 16-9, hinting at what was to come. Na`Vi opted for the heavily skill-based Dust II as their pick and it worked like a charm – 16-3 and a victory in the bag.

Natus Vincere will find out their next opponent when the NRG – Ghost matchup comes to an end. After splitting Inferno and Cache, the two NA sides are currently battling on Mirage to remain in the tournament.
