MiBR to ESL Pro League semifinals over mousesports

Made in Brazil took down mousesports on Train and Inferno to record a 2-0 victory and advance to the ESL Pro League Season 8 semifinals.

The Americans had a dream start on mouz’ pick of Train and finished the first half with 11 rounds. Chris “chrisJ” de Jong and co. went on a run in the second, winning eight straight rounds to level the score at 14. At the most crucial moments it was mibr who kept their concentration up though, and mouz’ efforts on the comeback went to waste in the final two rounds, both of which resulted in victory for the terrorists.

Inferno did not offer redemption for the European team. They simply did not feel comfortable on the map and even with both pistols going their way, they were still heavily beaten 16-6. This loss is not the end for mousesports in Odense. ChrisJ’s men will enter Sparekassen Fyn Arena tomorrow for the first quarterfinal of the day, where they will face Renegades.

Natus Vincere were also in action tonight. They barely got out of the Ghost matchup with a win. The Americans took Inferno and continued to impress on Train where they needed four in a row to avoid losing in regulation. Unfortunately for them, after doing so the overtime period was not too kind and Na`Vi did secure a third map, which was to be Mirage.

The third highest rated team in the world finally put up a pair of convincing halves in Odense, and the timing could not have been better. The 16-6 result was sorely needed and despite being very unconvincing thus far, Na`Vi will at least play in the playoffs. But if they are to beat Team Liquid in the quarterfinals, they will need to reach a whole new level. Otherwise it would be lights out for the best player in the world.
