Pre-paid voucher company Paysafecard and the world’s largest electronic sports league ESL have expanded their existing partnership to cover 2019.
Payment processor company Paysafecard will remain a sponsor for ESL in 2019 after the companies have agreed to extend the existing partnership. ESL has been working with Paysafecard since 2015. The secure payments firm has sponsored a series of events, appearing for flagship titles such as the Pro League, ESL One, and IEM.
The company will extend its support for these events once again in 2019, ESL has specified. The events covered this year include:
- ESL National Championships
- European Masters
- ESL Play
- Intel Extreme Masters (IEM)
- ESL Pro League
- ESL One
Paysafecard is also tasked with running the namesake Hall of Fame where professional players receive various rewards based on their performance throughout the year and community votes.

Paysafecard has sought to raise its profile through multiple deals with competitive esports organizations, including G2 Esports and Sprout. The company teamed up for a reality show called “Making the Squad” with G2 Esports in November 2018.
