The monthly update on CS:GO rankings came out and the leader is not exactly surprising. Danish superpower Astralis continues to dominate the charts, retaining their grip on the first place. The biggest helper in their quest was the convincing fashion in which they won the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals in Dallas. In addition to the monthly ranks, Astralis have led the weekly edition for seven straight weeks, leaving no food for doubters.
Back to the monthly version, we find a familiar face in second place too, as FaZe retain their stance in the Global Offensive world. Naturally, more switch-ups are to be found as we go lower through the ranks. Natus Vincere’s Kiev triumph in the StarSeries Season 5 allowed them to exchange places with Mousesports and enter June sitting at the third position.
Liquid is the big jumper in the top 10 this month, climbing four places to fifth overall. They are also the highest ranked non-European team as of now. Rounding out the top 10 are fnatic (+2), SK (-), Cloud9 (-2), NiP (-1) and North (+4). StarSeries finalists NRG hit out right outside the top 10 but can still be glad about their progress, being the most improved team in the top 20 with a seven-spot jump.
Going further down the scale, another Danish outfit – OpTic, registered the biggest climb of anybody, overtaking 20 teams to reach 22nd place. Turkish squad Space Soldiers lost ground last month, dropping to number 18. They won the most significant event for June so far, though – DreamHack Open Austin, thus giving themselves a nice platform for improved ranking next time around.
