With 25 million unique players, the game has definitely conquered some summits. It’s drawn admiration from PUBG enthusiasts and even stolen the thunder from Fortnite, clocking more concurrent viewers on Twitch the same week as it was released.
Of course, there’s a lot of targeted advertising, marketing, and no small amount of pure love for the franchise Apex Legends is based on. Right now, there’s also a newly-discovered bug that’s caught the eye of Reddit and the community.
The bug reported on Reddit basically allows people to stay on the ship and avoid taking damage whereas players are eventually killed by the narrowing playable field. The upshot is a quick clean win for whoever’s had the prudence to hang back at the ship.
This means free wins, but beware! If flagged as an exploit, it could land you a ban, so make sure to actually play the game instead of hoping for some freebies.
