Allied Esports has teamed up with popular Fortnite streamer Kristen “KittyPlays” Michaela to produce an original content series – PlayTime™ with KittyPlays.
PlayTime with KittyPlays is the first original production by Allied Esports, a company undergoing restructuring and soon to be transformed into Allied Esports Entertainment. The series will debut in the spring of 2019 and will feature a variety of influencers and celebrity guests. The show will be hosted by Kristen “KittyPlays” Michaela.
The series will be streamed in front of a live audience in HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas’ studio. Michaela was excited at receiving the news:
I’m so excited to take my stream to the live stage and interact with my community in person. We are going to have an incredible lineup of guests on the show to talk, play and have some fun, and I can’t wait to share this experience with everyone in the arena and those watching on the live stream.
Allied Esports is releasing KittyPlays as the first original series the company will be shooting from its studio. Meanwhile, Allied Esports and World Poker Tour (WPT) are being acquired by Ourgame Holdings International, pending regulatory approval.
Ourgame CEO Frank Ng also commented on the new opportunity to be part of a high-quality production:
Partnering with talented and popular streamers like KittyPlays to create fresh, interactive events and content is a key component of our growth strategy. PlayTime is an outstanding kickoff to a year of what we intend to be a much larger, comprehensive content offering to come from Allied Esports, and we’re confident that Kristen’s magnetic personality and skill will carry this concept far beyond our own lofty expectations.
Allied Esports Entertainment is an interesting amalgamation between poker, esports tournaments and industry practices and it would be curious to see if such a combination can leverage a product that will appeal to a young audience.
