Zeri makes debut in League of Legends patch 12.2, nerfs for multiple assassins

The biggest introduction in the newest patch is Zeri, who is a lightning-fast AD carry who uses lasers and electricity in her kit. She boasts some great damage numbers as well as great mobility, which seems to be the biggest focus in her design. It’ll be interesting to see if she’ll carve out a niche for herself in the current metagame, especially as the bot lane has been in a great state recently.

Some champions such as Talon, Qiyana and Zed have received some nerfs, with the former focusing mostly on his presence in the jungle and the latter two in the mid lane. Talon has been very present in the jungle and sees his W nerfed against monsters, while Zed gets Ultimate nerfs and Qiyana’s base health regen and her Q duration got nerfed.

When it comes to buffs, Some underappreciated bot laners such as Senna, Samira and Tristana got some love. Both Yasuo and Yone, which buff has been overdue for a while, also got their viability increased. With Volibear and Nocturne, two junglers will also be on the rise. Finally, there’s changes to the Chemtech Dragon Soul and Hextech Drake, which got slightly nerfed after much complaining from the community.
