What platform should you play Apex Legends on?

Apex is free to play, but depending on the platform you use, you might need to pay a monthly subscription to be able to enjoy the game online (looking at you, consoles).

The debate on the superior platform to game on goes back a very long way. Pc players and console players have been face-to-face for many years, fighting about who is right. Luckily often jokingly, of course.

The truth

First-person shooters have always been the most comfortable to play on pc. Players are not stuck on 60 fps and depending on the strength of their setup they can use 240hz refresh rates on their monitors. If you’ve never made the switch from 60hz refresh rate to 144hz, you honestly don’t know what you’re missing. The game feels so. Much. Smoother.

The combination of keyboard and mouse are, in my opinion, superior to the controller. There’s a reason why games “help” players on controller with a little aim assist. Take away this perk, and keyboard and mouse players have the advantage.

If you do prefer to play with a controller, that’s fair enough. You can choose your input on pc, so there’s nothing holding you back from playing controller on pc!

Respawn Entertainment, the developer, introduced cross-play in October 2020, so you’ll be matched against players from your own platform, but also all the other platforms.
