What graphics setting you should use in VALORANT

Ever since the release of VALORANT, the competitive side of the FPS has flourished. There are many in-game strategies and guides that can help you get ahead of the competition, but video and graphic settings can be just as impactful. Keeping your screen clean and graphics maximized for your specific rig is incredibly important. Though all PCs are different and will vary, these are some general tips for your settings.

Multi-thread Rendering – On

Material Quality – Medium

Textual Quality – Medium

Detail Quality – Medium

UI Quality – Medium

Vignette – Off

V-Sync – Off

Anti-Aliasing – Off

Anisotropic Filtering – 1x

Improve Clarity – On

Bloom – Off

Enhanced Gun Skin Visuals – On (minimal impact)

Distortion – Off

Shadows – On

These settings will seek to maximize your FPS while keeping the visuals of the game looking as crisp as possible. Options such as Anti-aliasing and V-sync are often automatically on, but end up doing more harm than good. Bloom and distortion add some dynamic graphical settings, however obscure the visuals more and make it more difficult to see your surroundings.

Feel free to crank up some of the medium settings to high if your PC is capable of running the game on higher end settings, you can boost it up to high. Similarly, if you know your PC cannot handle medium, run it on low to keep your FPS as smooth as possible. Graphical settings such as detail and text quality aren’t necessarily imperative to keep on one setting and come down to preference.
