Season 1 in Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific both kick off on December 8. Until then you can still level up and grind your weapons. If you want to be efficient, you should focus on the following eight weapons that are poised to dominate the meta.

Vanguard has more than 30 weapons to pick from, but not all will be part of the meta in the first season. Here are our eight picks for top weapons in season one:
- Automaton
- Volk
- PPSH-41
- Tommy Gun
- Type 100
- MG42
- Machine Pistol
- M1911
Especially the Automaton is most likely going to see lots of play. A fire rate of 833 and a magazine size of 75 are strong stats to fall back on for the weapon. The Machine Pistol is also looking strong with 198 fire rate and 40 bullets in your magazine. You can even use them in Akimbo mode.
The meta will obviously change as time goes on, but these are eight good picks to get you started.
