Warzone Season 4 – What can we expect (and when)?

We’re very close to finally getting to play season 4 of Warzone, but what exactly does this newest season hold in store? Let’s look at what we know so far.
When can we expect Season 4?

We’ll know more about the specific dates and timing for the upcoming season following the Summer Game Fist Kickoff stream, where a whole slew of Call of Duty related news will be showcased and shared. You’ll be able to watch the stream starting Thursday June 10 at 1pm CT.

Weapon balancing

First and foremost, there’ll be a lot of changes to the current meta and weapon balance, as we see every season. “We feel we are close to a ‘balance homeostasis’ where most options are at the very least viable. Which leaves us to address Time to Kill“ Treyarch said in their latest patch notes. They also confirmed they’ll also be looking to overhaul and take a closer look at Modern Warfare weapons and not only Cold War ones.

Operator leaks

We are of course guaranteed to see some new operators in the game in the new season, and data mining and leaks have shown three new names in the game files, namely Deathstalker, Komodo and Quicksand. It’s currently unknown what these operators look like or what we can expect from them, so we’ll just have to wait it out.

More Black Ops maps?

Another area where we can look forward to some new stuff is in the map department. It’s more than likely we’ll be getting another older map from the Black Ops series, a type of content that’s been very successful in the past. Zombies will most likely also receive a brand new survival map to keep things fresh.
