Warzone Season 2 Roadmap released – What can you expect?

Weapon and Field Upgrades

Nebula V is a rare type of a ammunition and bombs that’ll have a massive pay-off for those who can find it. When you can down a player using Nebula V ammo, a poisonous gas cloud will release, which will make saving the player a lot harder. The ammo is classified as a Field Upgrade.

The Nebula V bomb is a briefcase which is filled to the brim with poison gas and an explosive. Once deployed it’ll explode on a fixed timer and release an explosion followed by the expulsion of gas, hurting those who aren’t protected by a gas mask. The gas will remain in place for about 2 minutes. Nebula V gas can be countered with the Portable Decontamination Station however, a new Field Equipment.

Armored Transport Trucks are the vehicles that contain the Nebula V gear and will drive around the map in a loop. They’re weaponized with two turrets which will attack squads on sight alongside mines that it drops behind itself. If you manage to take down one of these turrets, you’ll be rewarded with some great loot.

Vehicles

One of the new vehicles is the Bomber Plane, which are capable of destroying Loadout Drops and Anti-Air Guns. Much like the Fighter Plane which remains available, the Bomber Plane will have a limited amount of health, meaning it can be destroyed handily with the right tools. The other new vehicle is the Redeploy Balloon, which allows players to reposition with their parachute, using it to rise back to the sky. A deflated balloon can be used again, provided the player has some cash laying around.

New POIs are hitting Warzone

There’ll be more of the map to explore in the upcoming Warzone season, as new POIs are being added to the map. One of them is the Chemical Factory, which is being added in place of the refinery that was there before. Soldiers that protect the facility will be running around and while the layout will remain mostly the same, loot is increased in rarity and amount, making a visit to this dangerous area more worthwhile.

Aside from the new Chemical Factory, seven underground Chemical Weapon Research labs are also added around the island, which features some great loot despite potentially becoming a death trap due to the fact it only has one exit and entrance.

New game modes

Warzone is also getting some new game modes. One of them is Caldera Clash. This game mode sees two teams of up to 48 players divided into four-man teams face off in an all-out deathmatch spiced up with power-ups and other events, with players able to drop in with custom loadouts. Kills earn you points, with the team that reaches a certain threshold first will win the game.

Another game mode is Rebirth Iron Trials, which will be released later on. The game mode promises highly competitive gameplay featuring a different set of rules and longer TTK. It’ll be a duo game mode and will have a total of 20 squads gearing up. The full breakdown of the upcoming game mode can be found here.
