Warzone may not implement FOV slider on consoles at all, say insiders

Even though the FOV slider issue has popped up for years at this point, console players still don’t have the slider on Warzone. Now it seems that it may be more of a mechanical, in-game issue than a decision by developers to not have it. According to some leakers and Call of Duty insiders, consoles come with certain hardware limitations when it comes to graphics, which would make a FOV slider just not feasible.

The FOV slider topic rose up again as a new report released which shows Activision is planning on releasing a Warzone sequel, which could solve some of the issues the more recent games have. One of those could be the lack of the FOV slider, which might not be possible due to the current engine used in Warzone.

The new Warzone game would no longer support older consoles such as the PlayStation 4, which could open up new possibilities for the developers to tune up graphics and other quality-of-life changes even further. This does mean however that chances are slim Warzone will get that FOV slider to consoles at all before the sequel releases, meaning gamers will have to deal with the standard settings a little longer.
