Vitality and FURIA possibly adding a sixth player to their roster

It seems like more CS:GO teams are planning to add a sixth player to their roster as Team Vitality and FURIA both have plans to do so, according to french website 1pv.fr and FURIA coach Nicholas “guerri” Nogueira respectively.

FURIA coach guerri was inspired by other organizations, as he studied the potential a six man roster (or perhaps even more) could have. “After seeing the changes in some orgs, I decided to thoroughly study the format of 6 or more players. I concluded that is the future of Counter-Strike and with the support of FURIA we’ll implement it in the next few months.”

In the case of Vitality they reportedly have a few players in mind who could fill the role of a sixth player on their roster. The three prime candidates seem to by Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom and Bryan “Maka” Canda, currently both playing for Team Heretics, and Ali “hAdji” Haïnouss who plays for LDLC.

With more and more players taking extended breaks after reports of deteriorating mental health, teams are looking to pick up more players for their roster to alleviate some of the pressure. Astralis was one of the first teams to pick up more players after Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth and Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander took a break from the competitive scene.
