Announced mere days ago, VALORANT’s 17th Agent is set to be the French Deadeye in Chamber. This new Sentinel brings some unique abilities that make him a particular advantage during eco rounds. Though we’ve read about his abilities on paper, a video finally showed off the extent of his kit.
Chamber’s Rendezvous is a two-way teleport ability to similar to that of Yoru’s. The ability is set up by a stylized business card that acts as both ends of the teleporter.
Chamber’s other, more traditional ability, is a trap-slow featured dubbed Trademark. The trap can be left across the map and will trigger once an opponent comes into contact with it. The video showed that this will at least have two charges.
Outside of these conventional abilities, Chamber features a unique side to his kit by bringing his own weapons to the fight. Headhunter and Tour de Force both see Chamber manifesting his own weapons.
Headhunter is most analogous to a Sheriff pistol with aim-down-sights abilities. The Tour de Force, Chamber’s ultimate, is also similar to the damage and range of the Operator. Both of these weapons are highly stylized and reflect the overall color scheme and aesthetic of Chamber.
Now players have something beyond a teaser trailer to base their opinions and strategies for Chamber off of. While hosting some run-of-the-mill abilities, Chamber adds a unique layer to the economy side of the game specifically. How Chamber is utilized in professional play and ranked has yet to be seen, however he may shake up the current meta.
