VCT Champions 2021 – What you need to know about the groups and format

When it comes to the format, it’ll remain mostly the same as it did during VCT Masters 3 Berlin. We’ll once again see four groups battling it out in a double-elimination fashion, with the two best teams of each group moving on to play-offs, which are played out in single-elimination, something that has been a point of criticism in the past but will be returning nonetheless.

Group A

  • Acend
  • Team Envy
  • X10 Esports
  • Vivo Keyd

Group B

  • Sentinels
  • Team Liquid
  • FURIA
  • KRU Esports

Group C

  • Gambit
  • Crazy Raccoon
  • Team Secret
  • Team Vikings

Group D

    • Vision Strikers
    • Fnatic
    • Cloud9
    • Full Sense

When will it start?

The whole tournament will be played out in just under two weeks, with the first matches starting on December 1. Vision Strikers and Full Sense will kick things off. Group Stage will conclude on December 7 before moving on to the playoffs. Finals are planned for December 12. All the matches played during the tournament will consist of best-of-three series, except for the finals which is expanded to a best-of-five.
