With the first four teams locked into the NA VCT Masters event, the competition for the remaining spots is only getting stiffer.
Teams that have struggled during these open qualifiers or fallen short of the final cut have been making their stake to compete in the closed qualifier.
Will TSM Finally Qualify?
After falling short in the first open qualifiers, TSM have made statement games by dominating their side of the bracket. Only losing an average of 4 rounds in their flawless run, the squad seems on track to finally qualify. Subroza has been performing above expectations as he’s averaged 272 ACS with .98 KPR. Hazed has been a safety net for the team as he has the most clutches at 8. The last hurdle that stands between qualification is Version1, which seems a very achievable goal considering their performance so far.
Cloud9 Scrape By
Struggling to make it to the quarter-finals of the open finals, Cloud9 won their final game of the day 2 to 1. Once again C9’s best performer, Leaf has been the team’s primary fragger with an overall 1.49 K/D. Faced with T1 to qualify, C9 will have to drastically improve their performance to make it to closed qualifiers.

T1’s New Roster Unlocked
While it may have taken some time, the addition of curry and Autimatic seems to be paying off as T1 has shown far greater synergy and team cohesion than ever before. With the highest average combat score (236) in the tournament, T1 appear sure to qualify and continue to be a threat in vying for a Masters position.
