Vanity makes move from CS:GO to VALORANT

Yet another CS:GO player is moving to VALORANT, with this time Anthony “vanity” Malaspina making the jump. The 22-year old American IGL and AWPer announced his departure from CS:GO on his Twitter account with a statement.

Vanity has been active within the competitive CS:GO scene since 2017, playing for We Make History. After a successful stay with Team Singularity, winning the WESG 2018 USA, Swole Patrol and eUnited, vanity landed on Chaos Esports Club at the start of 2020. With Chaos he would go on to win the DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 NA and the IEM Beijing Online NA, helping make Chaos one of the best teams in the world before the organization decided to leave CS:GO.

In his statement vanity talks about his time in CS:GO and making the jump to VALORANT. “This won’t come as a surprise, but I’ll be transitioning to VALORANT full time. CSGO changed my life and I’ll forever be grateful for the experience, but unfortunately all good things come to an end.“ […] “With all of this being said I’m excited to have the opportunity to prove myself in a new environment and start the next chapter of my career.”

It’s currently unclear which teams vanity will be joining and where he’ll end up competing. Thanks to his successful history in CS:GO he should be able to land himself a spot on a top team.
