Valorant’s first big pro turns to streaming

In March of 2020, T1 made history by signing the first ‘big name’ pro to their VALORANT roster. Braxton “Brax” Pierce re-debuted in Riot Games’ tactical FPS and made his mark on the VALORANT scene early. Now, Brax has announced that he is transitioning to a full-time streamer position. Brax will remain affiliated with the T1 organization, now as a streamer.

Brax’s signing set the standard for the early days of the VALORANT esports scene. Famously, the FPS player was banned from CS:GO and Valve sponsored events after his involvement in a massive cheating scandal. Brax sought redemption in VALORANT, and opened the flood gates for reformed CS players to make the move.

Though Brax never found any substantial success during his time as a professional, he joins T1’s growing roster of streamers. In the past year, T1 has massively expanded their presence in the content creation space. Tyler1, LS, Flights, and more have joined the ranks of former SKT pros and former World Champions.

Brax’s last months as a VALORANT pro player were not the most peaceful. Following his free agency after his first release from T1, Brax ended up on TSM. Though a part of the roster, Brax never saw actual game time on the starting roster. As a part of their ongoing roster shuffle, TSM dropped Brax from their benched and he once again found himself on T1 for another short stint.

You can find Brax’s stream on his main Twitch account. Brax announced that he will stream Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4pm CST.
