VALORANT’s release on June 2 is imminent. Riot Games has now announced a $200,000 tournament to celebrate the occasion.
Riot’s FPS game has concluded its closed beta on May 28 prior to the scheduled launch on June 2. During this downtime the developer has announced the first large scale competition in VALORANT.

Riot will be hosting a global tournament on the first weekend of the launch. Teams from North America, Europe, Latin America, Korea, Japan and Brazil will be competing in this tournament to crown a regional champion. Besides the bragging rights Riot has also offered $200,000 in prize money for the competitors.

The event will be streamed on Twitch and is hosted in cooperation with Twitch Rivals.
